So much of my life I associate with music. I hear a phrase and a song pops into my mind. I’m in the middle of something and a musical riff will dance across my memory. Life, like music, is poetry.
When I look at my dog Remy, I often start singing the song, “Best Friend” from an old television show. There are nights when I fall asleep “singing” in my head and I wake up the next morning with the same song playing in the background of my mind. I like to think there’s a message in the song that’s there to encourage and maybe inspire me on that day. Conversations will randomly cause lyrics from songs past and present to spring to memory and sometimes I’ll start to sing whatever has come to mind. The latest song on replay has been “Hard Fought Hallelujah” by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll.
Think about the music that is calling out to you or speaking to you today. You may find answers or inspiration there. (Isaiah 55:3a)
