The pursuit of knowledge…the internet makes this so very easy for all of us. Massive amounts of information are at our fingertips; we just need to be able to sift out the chaff from the grain. What use is this vast amount of information if we don’t use it to help each other?
“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:2)
Knowledge for the sake of gaining more knowledge without applying it to serve others is a travesty and a waste. We are enriched as a people when we use what we have in love to help others. We are relational beings called to help each other on this journey called life. Most people need a hand-up, not a hand-out.
Our lives are richer for using our gifts to help each other improve this world.
