A Grateful Heart

I am so grateful … Another phrase that can be chock-full of meaning. Some use it as a general term of thanks, while others use it as an offering of thanksgiving to GOD. There’s no right or wrong usage.

I’ve briefly touched on my journey, which began three years ago. Right now, even beginning a new course of treatment, I feel the best I have since I began this odyssey. I am so very grateful to be able to tell friends and family that I feel amazing. I am able to work on improving the physical me because I now have the energy to do so.

So, for me, a grateful heart is one overflowing with thanksgiving to my Creator. This grateful heart also brings me joy and peace. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

What is the foundation of your grateful heart? Does it bring you a sense of peace? Does it fill you with joy?
