“It’s raining again!” “It’s so dry. Is it ever going to rain?” “I’m busy every weekend. I just need a break.” “I wish we had plans this weekend. I’m bored.” Do you see a pattern? Appreciate the season of life in which you find yourself; it will soon change.
I remember how busy we were when our children were home; our calendar was full of activities. We were constantly on the go. Once they left home, we found ourselves with a lot of time on our hands. We missed the busyness but enjoyed the slower pace we now had together.
Enjoy your children while they’re young; they grow up so quickly. Enjoy your adult children; mine amaze me every day (they are awesome people). Find time for extended family, cousins, grandparents, parents, friends—life can change in the blink of an eye.
Appreciate life. We only get this one amazing ride. Make it beautiful. Make it meaningful. Make it memorable. Make it awesome. (2 Corinthians 4:15)
