So many people have expectations of us: parents, teachers, partners, and employers. We can’t keep track of what everyone wants from us, let alone hope to meet all of their goals. Who are you living for?
There are so many avenues of discovery and self-expression that are suppressed by only meeting the needs of other people. If you travel someone else’s path, you miss out on the unique experiences destined for you. The people in your life who love you can offer advice and help you make the best choices for you; however, this is your life, and you have to be happy with the future you map out for yourself.
You only have this one life. Sometimes you get a second chance, a do-over; sometimes you don’t. Choose the best course of action for you; the people who love you will support your decision. Share your passion and take them with you on your exciting journey of enlightenment. (Proverbs 16:3)
