How do you start your day? In a mad rush, scheduled, and with intent or leisurely? How we begin the day, a project or a journey, oftentimes is a precursor for how that day or event will develop.
The day you are running late, you probably forgot something important in your quick dash out the door. You’re distracted and discombobulated. Those seem to be the days when everything goes wrong. Yet, sometimes regardless of how well organized you are, things just go wrong, but if you begin from a place of peace, then hopefully you will handle the upsets throughout your day with grace and calmness.
What is the first thing you do each day to prepare for success, peace? What routine will help ensure a productive day, one where you felt you accomplished your goals and your endeavors were worthwhile? This is an investment in your day, a hope for a good day. (Psalm 118:4)
Begin each day with a plan for success. The plan may go sideways before noon, but you can pull it back between the lines because you began the day with a plan, and the plan still has value, even in the midst of the turmoil that life brings us.
