Life can be overwhelming, and you can fall into the “ain’t it awful” pit. What’s worse is that you want to drag others down into the hole with you because you don’t want to be alone—remember, humans are relational creatures. This is a toxic mindset that colors your world, impacts relationships, and can actually affect your health.
Believe in yourself. Part of the “ain’t it awful” syndrome is that you’re not happy with your situation. So, change what you can. Choose something that is easy to redesign, manage, and attain. Build on that change, and soon you’ll find you’re changing your outlook on life and possibly how you live. (Philippians 4:8-9)
Ultimately, you have to want to improve your life. You’ll be surprised by the difference in the people around you when you start making positive life adjustments. Healthy changes affect your health, how you see the world, and your personal relationships.
