Child’s Play

Snow. It makes me happy; it brings me joy. When the meteorologists start talking about the possibility of snow, I get excited and think about sitting in my cozy living room, in front of a hot fire with Remy and Dazey and watching it fall.

This week I had the joy of playing in the snow, making snow angels (in full view of quite a few people) and building a tiny snowman. When did we get too old to play in the snow? We miss out on so much because we worry about what someone else will “think.” Guess what? They’re going to think something anyway, so why not enjoy life and provide a positive experience for yourself and possibly a thought-provoking moment for another? We change the world one word, one action at a time. (Romans 12:2)

Maybe I and those with me looked silly, but playing in the snow filled me with joy, and I won’t forget those moments.

p.s. Thanks, Sarah K.
