Emotional Maturity

During this month, we’re all pushed to our limits of trying to meet everyone’s needs. We’re making schedules fit, picking just the right gift, meeting friends and family for outings all the while dealing with personal “issues”. This is a very emotional and possible difficult time for many of us. We often put our needs “in a box, close the lid, and put the box on the top shelf in the back of the junk closet”. I do this, too, with certain issues.

The problems don’t go away and they’re not resolved when we keep them hidden in a box. Bring them into the light and share them with someone safe. Darkness cannot exist in the light. (Philippians 4:6-7)
