A very pessimistic view of life, yet far too often it’s true. Everything is for sale if the price is right. An age-old philosophical question such as, “What would you do for a million dollars?” The price tag differs through the ages, but the question’s context is the same.
Is your character for sale? All that I’ve been sharing is about the core of who we are: humility, remorse, kindness, integrity, mercy, sincerity, and being a peacemaker. These are not commodities to be bought, sold, or traded. These are traits that define us as a person, valued and honored. The “price” of our character is far beyond any riches someone can offer. Why? Because once sold, they’re irretrievably gone. Better to use your convictions and ethics in the service of the underserved and needy, the marginalized and broken, and the falsely accused. (Matthew 5:10-12)
What do your actions and words say about who you are, your character? We’re all a work-in-progress.
