We get up, shower, brush our teeth, dress, have breakfast and start the day. Some people have an exercise regimen they follow in the morning others a time of devotions or reflection and planning for the day. Whatever your routine, it is a habit you’ve created out of repetition, need or necessity.
Currently, I’m creating a list of habits I want to make a part of my life next year. Most importantly, all will benefit my health—mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional. Some may be trimmed away or saved for a later date, that’s okay. This list is all about me and what I want to accomplish, what is important to me.
While these habits benefit me, I can help and support others while growing as a person. So, it’s not all about me. My life is full when I am able to help others in whatever way I can—again, I believe in divine appointments. (Philippians 4:8-9)
Start your list today—even if it only has one thing on it. Writing it down makes it real, creates intentionality and commitment. You’re worth the effort to be the amazing person you’re meant to be.
