A simple response that can hold a wealth of meaning or nothing more than what it implies. Well, isn’t this creating a Pandora’s box?
When children are out of sight playing and we call their name, the very young will come running and say, “Here I am” in the best way they can. It’s sweet, and then we wonder what trouble they might have been in to come running so quickly. As we reach the age of reason and beyond, we often feel as though we’re being “called” to do something, change something, go somewhere, speak to someone. This could be life-changing or just a shift from your current course. Look beyond the barriers or roadblocks to the possibilities and reach for new opportunities.
Are you being called to do something more? Answer, “Here I am.” (1 Samuel 3:8)
