Life isn’t without change. Some we choose, some are happy occurrences, and some are disasters; or they all seem so at the time. Life happens regardless of how well we plan for any eventualities. The question is, how well will you adapt to the obstacles that will litter your path?
What if you woke up one morning and your eyesight was blurry? That doesn’t sound too difficult. You have an optometrist prescribe glasses to correct the problem, right? The actual problem is you already wear glasses and the medicine you’re taking (life-saving medicine) is affecting your eyesight. Now, what choice do you make? Look for other medications (which will probably have their own side effects) or stay on the current course of treatment until you have corrected whatever is attacking your body? Oh, your eyes will slowly heal after you have discontinued the current course of treatment.
Nothing in life is without options—you may not like them or they may not be pleasant. How adaptable are you when faced with the outcome? Do you seek to blame others for your decisions? Do you take responsibility? It’s not easy, but again, life isn’t easy. (1 Chronicles 16:11)F
We are the sum of the choices we make in life. What does your life say about your adaptability? The choices you’ve made?
