There’s a knock on the door, you drop your child off at college, the phone rings, the doctor gives you the results of many rounds of tests—possible life-altering moments. We’ve all experienced them, the joyful, the apprehensive, and the devastating. All have changed the course of your life in some way, at least the life you thought you would live.
Life is all about change and how you react, experience, and process the event. Did it derail you? Did you lose your way, your purpose? Did you use the situation to become stronger?
Life isn’t a contest and you don’t have to do everything alone. In fact, we are relational creatures who need each other, supporting each other through good times and bad times. We are so caught up in this movement of needing to be self-sufficient, not needing others emotionally, that we’re in pain and not realizing what is causing it. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Pivotal moments, they make you or break you. You choose. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
