Today we’re busy wrapping those final gifts, preparing dinner for friends and family, putting the final touches on the house in anticipation of guests arriving to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. We’re excited, we’re tired, we’re dreading it, we’re lonely. Wow! The emotions run the gamut.
Sometimes we get caught up in the trappings of outward appearances and forget what’s important. Remember the holiday season, regardless of the origins for celebrating, is about love and sacrifice.
Think about everything you’ve done to prepare for one day, two days, one week and see the love and sacrifice that’s gone into making ready a special gathering for your loved ones. For me, my GOD did this for me with HIS only son Jesus. (1 John 4:9-12)
In the craziness of today take time to reflect on why YOU are doing all the things you do to make people feel loved. If there’s someone you feel the need to reach and touch with a call or text message, DO IT! This can be a lonely time of year and you may be the “love” they need. Peace and joy to you ♥️.
