I started a list of things I want to do or change in 2025 (I created mine in Google Sheets, because I’m a numbers person and I can add tabs to craft plans and keep track of each item and it’s saved in the Cloud). As I added items to my list I began to feel overwhelmed by the task I was setting for myself. I thought, “There is no way I can change these things about myself in addition to accomplishing the new things I want to do.” I was already setting myself up for failure with defeatist talk.
I added another item or two to the list (what can I say, I’m an overachiever) and I saw a bit of a pattern I could create. One example: I want to walk or cycle daily and I also want to do some specific reading. Time Management Solution: I can listen to an audio version of the material while walking/cycling. Look for solutions not roadblocks.
There is always at least one thing we say, “I wish I did…” or “I want to…” Either begins with the idea or the statement you just thought or uttered. Nothing happens overnight without thought, deliberation or planning. (Proverbs 21:5)
Whether you have one item, three items or more on your list for 2025, plan for success. You are the author of change for your future.
