I have told my children since they were old enough to understand the concept, “Be as good as your word.” Your words, a promise, is a binding contract—or at least it should be.
Your words, just like your actions reflect who you are. The difference is that your words are usually remembered longer or maybe you’ve posted them on social media. Honesty in how you live, interact, and present yourself to others is part of your brand. You demand full disclosure and truthfulness in the products you eat and use on your body every day; why would you demand less of yourself or the people who influence you? (Matthew 5:8)
Developing and protecting who we are needs at least as much attention as we give to purchasing what we consider the important the things in our life.
