There are so many different paths open to us. Again, some we choose and some are chosen for us. On these journeys, the road may fork and offer a choice. Other times we must power ahead on the trail before us. Sometimes neither option is easy.
When we begin a project, we do so with certain expectations, an attitude of positivity, knowing we will succeed. When our goal date arrives and we haven’t met our objectives, it can be difficult to process. What do we do now? Assess your plan, your timeline, and your guidelines. Fine-tune your plan if necessary. Redefine your goals if you find they’re not quite what you think they should be now that you’ve had time to work towards attaining them. Maybe you just need more time to accomplish what you set out to do. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and these are your goals based on your needs, wants, and schedule.
Stay the course. If the goal was worth creating a plan and dedicating time and effort to achieve it, it’s worth pressing onward. (Timothy 4:7)
