It comes in many forms: mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual (MEPS). We admire it, we train for it, sometimes we gain it in the crucible of life. It’s what we do with this strength that really matters.
It’s okay to want to be strong for yourself. This body we have (all parts of it) needs to be maintained, tuned. However, are you gaining strength simply to be strong or are you helping others? Think of how you can use your MEPS strength to help someone else. Think of how someone has helped you. What has strengthened you in a time of need—help solving a problem; support during a crisis; actual physical help, labor; prayer and spiritual support. (1 Peter 4:10)
Be the strength someone needs today. Your support will uplift you as much as it will the person you help.
