This is an interesting word, one we’ve heard used in a legalistic context and a spiritual context. You can provide a statement or evidence as to the veracity of an event. A testimony also is an account of a test or trial you have experienced, how it affected you, and how you are changed. If you live, you have a testimony.
Someone dear to me explained, “You won’t have a testimony if you aren’t tested.” I never thought of my life that way. I hope I learn something from everything I experience. I want to grow from the amazing and the challenging events, the ordinary and the extraordinary. All of these moments in life are part of me. My testimony is the statement of who I am. (Psalms 34:4-5)
