What is it about the ocean that soothes the soul? It’s the time you’re able to spend on a relatively uninhabited beach. You sink deep into the sounds, the smells, the sights, and just clear your mind. Open yourself to the sheer vastness of this creation. As I stood in the waves this week and felt the water tumble over my legs and greedily pull the sand from under my feet, I realized how often we’re buffeted by life—experiences crashing into us and shaking the ground beneath our feet. However, strong foundations and healthy life balance will support you when the tides challenge you.
The beauty and ferocity of the ocean captivates and challenges us to search inward for the answers to the questions of life. (Zechariah 2:13)
