Turn the Page

A fresh start. New opportunities. At one time, maybe even today, you would hang the calendar for the new year. It may or may not already have commitments, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special dates noted so everyone would know the family members’ schedules. You may have received the calendar as a gift, or you purchased it with care looking for just the right pictures, graphics, or style that suit you or your family. Regardless, it was an important scheduling tool. The calendar still is, but many of us use a digital calendar.

Turn the page on whatever calendar you use to a bright new year. It is a one full of opportunities and adventures. I know many of you struggled last year; you may be closing out last year with many difficulties and pain, but there is hope for a brighter day filled with joy (remember: joy is lasting, and happiness is fleeting). You are not alone. (Joshua 1:9)

No one is living a perfect life—don’t be fooled by the façade presented by someone else. We all struggle; you just may not see how another is hurting. What one thing can you do today to help you? We just turned the page, and sometimes it’s easier to start fresh on that new page.

Me, I have a list of “me” improvements, a shared digital calendar with my husband to keep track of activities and appointments, and hopefully, a new attitude.

Please share how you want to “turn the page” this year.

p.s. a friend did send us a beautiful desk calendar of his local photographs that we display, use, and turn the pages on each month.
